Large hopper section to be rubber lined in 6mm black natural.

The scale of the hopper offered Yorkshire Rubber Linings Ltd many challenges that included blasting, lining, curing and Health and safety procedures.

First process was to blast the internal and external surface of the hopper.

This image shows the hopper after the completion of the shotblasting.

Internal view showing the profile of the blasting, the hoper was blasted to S.A 2.5 with full environmental and profile checks carried out.

Next stage was to install a safe method of working.

Wooden platform was installed complete with barriers to allow our operatives to rubber line the top of the hopper.

Prior to curing paint system was applied to the external surface.

End boards where applied to all the branches and openings and sealed ready for the steam curing

After the curing process a second external paint system was applied.

Hopper now ready for collection after undergoing a full 100% quality inspection.

Hopper loaded and, on its way, back to customer all completed within 10 working days.
